    old & writing
    the same stupid love
    poems to what's-
    her-name just so's I
    could get her



    though now I frequently change
    her name so she don't get hot-and-bothered

    she still calls me
    every year on my
    birthday to remind me not to send her
    any more of my adolescent love poems
    as her 16 years old granddaughter my get
    the wrong idea about how innocent we were
    in 1956. Wld like to see Larry's poems from
    when he was 16. probably odes to Big Mama
    Thornton or, maybe Lana Turner ?
